WhatsApp will no longer be supported on seven Samsung phones starting from December 31, 2023, affecting some Android users.

These devices can no longer fully support WhatsApp, which greatly impacts the user experience and compromises the app’s security due to the lack of essential updates for protection against cyber threats.

The user will be notified that support for the device will be discontinued and will receive reminders to update the system.

WhatsApp will no longer be supported on certain Samsung phones.

Meta evaluates the mobile operating systems that work with WhatsApp annually. To regain access to WhatsApp, users need to buy a newer device.

Below is the Samsung mobile phone site where WhatsApp will no longer be supported.

  • Ace 2;
  • Essential;
  • S2;
  • S3 Mini model.
  • Trend II Duos is a popular trend.
  • Lite Trend.
  • XCover 2.

WhatsApp will no longer be supported on devices running Android versions below 5.0, prompting users to explore alternative messaging apps like Telegram if they are unable to upgrade their phones.

WhatsApp will only work if the phone can receive SMS or calls during the confirmation process, meaning that creating a new account on mobile phones using only WiFi and no access to operators’ services is not possible.
