WhatsApp is introducing the option to add an email to user accounts for added security, making it easier to log in when account retrieval is not straightforward.

WhatsApp users will be able to connect an email to their account.

WhatsApp is adding the option to recover your account with an email, but it is not recommended as the primary method due to security concerns. Passkeys offer enhanced security over SMS-based two-factor authentication.

How can I test the new feature?

To link emails to your WhatsApp account, you must either join the beta channel on the Play Store or install APK files from Mirror APK. However, these options involve using a beta version of WhatsApp that may have operational issues.

Introduction and release dates

The stable version of WhatsApp with email linking feature will not be available soon as only a limited number of app testers have access to this new feature.
