Microsoft integrates Speedtest directly into Bing search

Bing’s search engine now includes built-in support for Speedtest, as reported by Pradeep Viswav from the MSPowerUser website. Users can easily access Ookla Speedtest by searching for “speedtest” on Bing’s website and clicking the “start” button to begin the test.

Bing Research now offers support for Ookla’s Speedtest.

Ookla’s latest Speedtest widget displays immediate download and upload speeds along with latency and allows for multiple test runs to obtain more reliable outcomes.

Ookla’s Speedtest overview

The Ookla speed and internet latency testing service was introduced in 2006. The company reports that around 18 million tests are conducted daily on their platform, with a total of 51 billion speed tests performed since the launch of Speedtest.

Ookla utilizes over 16,000 servers globally for conducting internet speed tests. They currently provide Speedtest applications for various platforms including Windows, Mac, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and Apple TV.
