OneNote received additional functionalities in October, such as enhanced writing tools for handwritten notes and drawing. In November, the app will include Copilot integration, as announced by Greg MacEachern, a product manager on the OneNote team. Improvement of pen and gesture functionality
The user can customize their note-taking experience on a touch screen device by using the “Dravel” tab, which offers support for pen and gesture input. Gesture options are also available to simplify actions while using the pen.
Predicting what will happen in writing
OneNote, similar to Word and Outlook, is receiving improved predictive text features for faster writing. These predictions allow for quick edits and completion of sentences with previously considered words, accessible by pressing the “Tab” or “right arrow” key.

Vertical guides have recently become accessible to all users of OneNote, after initially being introduced to some users a while back.
OneNote’s copilot feature
In November, OneNote will feature Copilot integration, making it easier to organize ideas and boost creativity with the help of artificial intelligence.
Watching videos embedded in the text
OneNote will soon enable users to view Stream videos from SharePoint directly within OneNote, eliminating the need to switch to a different application.
